Things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: September 24 to 27, 2026

Deadpan LA talk-singing, the kind of band whose lyrics you quote for a week. Eight o'clock, $22.50.

Karaoke in the Cafe at eight. Free, so bailing after one song costs you nothing.

The festival warm-up, nine o'clock, $15. DJ set from Chris Kamrada, who drummed for Dashboard Confessional for the better part of a decade.

Doors at one. Knocked Loose headline, with Underoath, Kublai Khan TX, We Came as Romans, Saosin and Bayside under them. Set times move, so check before you leave.

Friday and Saturday only this weekend, from five. Getting in is free, the beer is not. Troy Hill above you, nowhere to park.

Free, half five, and the whole point is that you wander between buildings instead of committing to one.

Gates at six, and it runs until eleven. The Halloween run has been going since mid September, so the queues have settled down. Buy the dated ticket online, it is cheaper than the gate.

Improvised Star Trek, essentially. Half six, $15.

Seven o'clock in Swissvale. He is doing two a night all weekend, so the late one is there if seven is early.

Australian psych rock, half seven, $25. The name is the hardest part of recommending them.

Darkwave double bill in the small room, eight o'clock, $25. Dress accordingly.

Nine o'clock in Lawrenceville, ten dollars. Monthly, and it runs late.

Eleven to three on the North Side, free once you have paid museum admission.

Day two, doors at noon. Pierce the Veil headline, with Mayday Parade, Boys Like Girls, State Champs, Motion City Soundtrack and Finch. This is the emo day.

Noon, fifty dollars, and you leave knowing how to make the pizza rather than just eating it.

Homecoming, noon kickoff against Bucknell. Not the hardest game on the schedule.

Free, one until half nine, local bands up and down Lincoln Ave. Worth the trip up the river.

One o'clock on the South Side, $10 to get in, $35 with the signed book.

Ten dollars at six, and you are out early enough to do something after.

Seven again in Swissvale, second night of the run.

Seven o'clock, $15.

Sold out, so this is a heads up rather than a suggestion. Eight o'clock in Millvale if you already have one.

5K at eight, 10K at half nine, both finishing at the Point. If you are not running, half the city is closed anyway, so you may as well watch.

Noon downtown, and nobody has listed a price.

Barbara Kopple's coal strike documentary, one o'clock at the Harris. It won the Oscar and it still holds up.

Home, one o'clock. Cincinnati come in at 2-0 and the Steelers at 1-1, so this one actually matters.

Four o'clock, $35, bingo run by drag queens in Lawrenceville.

Five o'clock, ten dollars. Early enough that it is not really a school night problem.

Seven o'clock, $25, theatrical and very loud.

Seven o'clock, no price posted, and anyone can get up.

The Rival Sons singer on his own, half seven in the small room, $30.

Half seven at the Harris, hosted, and a good way to end a Sunday if you do not want it to end quietly.
